Freeride II über 100
Power. Precision. Powder.
Powder snow, steep slopes and endless lines – this category is all about adventure in open terrain. If you're looking for fresh powder, challenging couloirs and wide turns away from the piste, you'll find the perfect companions here.
The models in this category are true big mountain specialists that really come into their own when the terrain is deep, steep and technical. Buoyancy, stability and smooth running are clearly the focus here – characteristics that give freeriders the confidence to tackle even difficult terrain with ease. They are less at home on the piste, but off-piste they are virtually unbeatable.

The test slope under the Panorama Gondola in Heiligenblut offered perfect conditions: powder snow and later firn, steep descents and varied terrain – ideal for pushing the skis to their limits under realistic conditions. This allowed our testers to evaluate the models exactly where they are used: in open terrain.
The results speak for themselves: the ski industry is doing a great job. Two models shared the test victory, and the rest of the skis also impressed with their consistently high standard. Everything was represented, from uncompromising high-performance skis to stable, forgiving all-rounders.
Whether you're a hardcore pro or an ambitious freerider who values safety and performance, you're guaranteed to find the right ski for you in this category. So if you're looking for a reliable partner for big mountain adventures, take a close look at the results on the following pages.
