The Test itself:
Approx. 250 tester, a mixed potpourri of celebrities, professionals, amateur skiers, journalists tested 200 pair of skis for the next winter season.

Special features:
blind test by with black tape masked ski
only rental bindings neutral WorldSkitest service team for the exschange of skis and bindings in a specially fenced off area.

Mode of testing:
The ski testers pass the first test drive and immediately after the test they fill out the score sheet for the just driven model. Thereafter the skis are changed, next test drive is performed and rating.

On the evaluation forms the following criteria are rated:from a scale 1 to 10.

Edge grip
Maneuverability i.e. smoothh running and
General effort

Additional Categories:

OpenSpace

In this category different models get tested. Skis that are not in the common categories will be tested in the Open Space category.
No matter which characteristics the ski is promising, f. ex. an extra wide waist for highest possible skiing comfort, an exclusive model at a very high price or a new ski binding/shoe system... –in this category you will find latest research and technology to present our readers the industry´s latest trends and innovations. As it is not possible to compare the models in this category the skis also stay branded.

SnowStyle - the Design Contest

The category SnowStyle is rating skis based on their unique design. Why? That is rather simple. Since not too long ago skis not only tend to be masterpieces of development and handling characteristics, they are also unique regarding their design. And today, more and more skiers are choosing their skis due to a special design, which has to match their personal life style.
So all our testers have the possibility to choose their favourite skis and we sum it up and find the WorldSkitest winners.
